Comment: I have been hearing similar concerns regarding the financial status of the subdivision accounts. We need to be informed regarding how the money is being spent!!! It seems there is no accountability,

Comment: I agree there needs to be more information regarding the status of our accounts. There are a lot of rumors about how our money is being spent...sounds like there needs to be more accountability.
//The above two comments are from the same resident, there is not a dime of monies that are being spent inappropriately, please see report.//

Comment: 15% of the money went to Giebel for legal matters. Talk about a conflict of interest. And anyway, what legal matters?
//You are correct, that is why we have chosen to use another resident that is doing the liens for us. Instead of paying over $300 per lien placement, and $175 removal, we are now paying $155 placement and $55 removal. That is 70% cheaper than the average title company's rates. This is also reimbursed at the sale to the new owner, the refinance of the current resident, or the bank which is the lien holder. I guess you may consider this a temporary fee. Unfortunately we have over 50 homes that are either on a payment plan, in foreclosure, transferring to bank owned property, and vacant. Our dues had to go up to cover the costs of the unpaid homes. By Sept 1, 2010, these lots will be posted on the web so that the members of the association are aware of the nonpayment status of the aforementioned homes. I feel it is only appropriate to post this info to all members.//

Comment: There has been some vandalism recently in the neighborhood what is being done about it?
//I am sorry, you would have to refer that to the Macomb county Sheriff. But I would suggest noting that to the website, this would allow others to be more aware of the situations and what to look for.//

Comment: I would think you would have to call the Police. Not sure what the Association can do about that. We might want to get a Neighborhood Watch System together.

Comment: I assume the legal matters were to sue the homeowner on Marsal for his fence. Apparently we do not support homeowners in beautifying their homes, but rather condone overgrown weeds, Christmas lights year round, garbage sitting in yards, campers and boats in driveways etc. A neighborhood watch program is ambitious considering we can't even get the basics taken care of around here i.e. planting flowers, weed control.
//Some of the legal was used in that matter. But ALL complaints are followed up with notices, fines and follow ups. If we do not know of them, we cannot address them. Please take the time to send the complaint to Kelley or the link. Many are slipping by because we do not see them, please forward the address and the complaint.//

Comment: I see that all the previous comments re: our questionable state of finances have been erased. It's time to follow-up. It is easy for us to write the comments, but it is time to take action re: our concerns. I don't want to think the worse, but I am starting to be lead in that direction. It appears that $ that should exist doesn't. ENOUGH! WHAT IS GOING ON?!
